Self Defense Classes

GWPD Self Defense instruction covers basic stance, strikes, and blocks.  Each technique is specifically designed to be utilized in the event of an attack.

While the majority of our classes are geared toward sexual assault prevention for women, this class can be beneficial for men as well.  Please check for classes that are open to both men and women.

The total self defense class is 6 hours. This class is designed to accommodate a group of 10-15 participants.  We recommend that students plan to attend each class to get the most out of the course.  Athletic apparel is considered appropriate attire for the course.  Also, we ask that participants refrain from wearing jewelry to prevent loss or damage.

Since the inception of the self defense program, GWPD has trained hundreds of students in basic self defense.
