Hampton Roads Center

The Hampton Roads Center (HRC) is a George Washington University off-campus graduate education center, serving working professionals. The HRC is located in the Towne Bank Building in Newport News, Virginia and occupies approximately 10,000 square feet of space located on the first and second floors. The facility has an administrative area, nine faculty offices, eight staff offices, a library and six classrooms, including a student lounge area. Classes are also held at:
- Hanover High School located at 10307 Chamberlayne Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116
- Advanced Technology Center, 1800 College Crescent, VA Beach, VA 23453
Access to the Facility:
Hampton Roads Center
The HRC Administrative Offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The HRC facilities are normally open for classes from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Although the administrative offices are closed during this time frame, the evening staff is available during the evening and weekend hours when classes are in session.
The Towne Bank Building is open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. weekdays. After hours and weekend access is by swipe card and/or key pad with speaker. Students using the key pad identify themselves by name and the class they are attending before access is granted. After hours and weekend access is part of the security system administered by Olympia, the building's property management.
Advanced Technology Center
The Advanced Technology Center is a co-owned building with Virginia Beach City Public Schools. The Center is open from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. weekdays. Students must sign in and out at the security desk.

Crime and public safety related incidents at Greenbrier Middle School should be reported to the Chesapeake Police Department at 911 (emergency) or by calling (757) 382-6161 (non-emergency).
