Alexandria Graduate Education Center

The Alexandria Graduate Education Center (AGEC) is a George Washington University off-campus graduate education center, serving working professionals. The AGEC is located in Alexandria, Virginia and occupies approximately 26,000 square feet of contiguous space located on the second floor. The facility has an administrative area, marketing suite with 8 staff cubicles, director office, conference and work rooms, 13 faculty offices, 11 staff offices, 11 classrooms including a 32 station computer lab, 6 station homework lab, Art Therapy Studio and Library, and 7-room counseling suite.
Panic buttons are in place at the reception desk, and every classroom has an intercom that calls reception.
Access to the Facility
The AGEC Administrative Offices are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The AGEC facilities are normally open for classes from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, some Fridays, Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Although the administrative offices are closed during this time frame, the Center Coordinators are available during the evening and Saturday hours when classes are in session. Note: The facility may be opened during other hours as coordinated with the Director of AGEC. There are no resident students in this program; it is located in one building and all of the students are commuters.
